eet the WriterBermondsey born Jeff Kristian has been a writer and songwriter since the early eighties. This is his first foray into writing for radio, though he has written for drag before and his weekly column in Pink Wire magazine ‘Life’s A Drag’, which gets regular internet hits from all over the world.
The Where D’ya Put Yer Willy? musical is based on Jeff’s 20 years working the London drag scene. It’s a semi-autobiographical story full of finely drawn cartoons of events from his real life career. “They say you should write from experience” he says. “It’s been a marvellous trip finally putting it all down in words… and a hell of a lot cheaper than therapy!”
Though a work of fiction, many of the characters in this whirlwind, fast pace story are based on people Jeff has met and worked with over the years. Anyone you recognise?
